i burnt my toast again
'cause the toaster's broken
so is the iron
the washing machine
the mixer
the vacuum cleaner
years of use
years of neglect
get it fixed, you say
they don't want to be fixed
get new ones, you say
who wants something new?
it'll just break, too
i'll eat this burnt toast with jam
while the appliances glare at me
and maybe if i ignore them
they'll go away
eventually
